McDonogh Capital Investments, a subsidiary of Galway based Thomas McDonogh & Sons Limited, are holding an information evening tonight Thursday, February 8, to present the plans for their Westgate office campus proposed for the Rahoon/Knocknacarra area.
The public are invited to drop in between 5-7pm to the Clybaun Hotel where representatives from McDonogh’s and the design team will be on hand to talk people through the plans and answer queries.
Planning permission for the €45 million project has been submitted to Galway City Council with a decision due by March 20. The plans are available to view on Galway City Council’s website and submissions can be lodged with the council by February 28.
Thomas McDonogh & Sons Limited have a proven track record of delivering high quality developments having been involved in the development of over 800,000 sq ft of office and hotel accommodation in Ireland, France and Belgium, including the Dockgate building and Jurys Inn hotel in Galway.
The Westgate office campus has been designed by award winning Dublin architectural firm BKD architects.
Finance Director for McDonogh Capital Investments Martin Neville has outlined the need for this type of development in the west side of the city.
“This part of the city is the same size as Athlone; however there is no office space here to serve the population. This office development will be an attractive option for companies looking to set up in or relocate to Galway and tap into the employment opportunity in the west side of the city,” said Mr Neville.
“There is a need for office accommodation in this area and this development is the next obvious step following the build-out of the adjacent Galway Shopping Park,” he added.
