od Ireland will celebrate the spirit of St. Brigid's Day with a free unique panel discussion titled 'Find Your Wild'. During the discussion they will delve into crucial themes of climate change and biodiversity loss whilst discovering actionable solutions to safeguard our natural world.
The panel of experts will be led by Anja Murray, ecologist, environmental policy analyst and broadcaster, and Claire MacEvilly, CEO Airfield, alongside Green Sod Ireland and local nature champions.
Anja Murray says; "Time in nature makes us feel more connected. It gives us a mental resilience to be able to keep engaging in the issues as well so we’re not as likely to put our head in the sand and turn away from it. So, it’s not just about a walk in the park being great. It’s crucial for being able to engage with the challenge of climate change and biodiversity loss."
Green Sod Ireland is committed to the conservation of Irish land, recognising its inherent and historical wildness. Through the establishment of ‘Wild Acres’ and other initiatives, the organisation aims to create protected spaces that allow wildlife and ecosystems to flourish.
Janet Laffey, Programme Manager of Green Sod Ireland, said; "We are proud to launch the 'Find Your Wild' campaign, it’s a real opportunity for individuals, communities, and organisations to actively participate in the preservation of Ireland's natural heritage. And learn how to take positive action for biodiversity loss and climate change in Ireland."
