A new concept sees shower singers taking to the stage in their droves in Galway city as over 120 ‘ordinary folk’ are set to perform on the Town Hall stage this January.

Taking place on Sunday January 28 at 7pm at the Galway Town Hall Theatre, this live show event will see 120 solo and ensemble singers accompanied by a full house band and professional backing vocals, performing an explosive setlist of songs to a sell-out audience of family and friends.

Having earned its reputation as one of Galway’s ‘must-see’ events, this incredible showcase is the concluding part of a unique Self Development Programme through Music created by leading voice coach Dr Caren Hession.

Over two inspirational days, the Born To Rise programme leads ordinary individuals on a journey of finding their voice, physically and metaphorically; empowering participants, particularly women, with the concept that their voice matters.

Through a series of practical and powerful workshops, the programme helps participants to discover their true potential, unlock disempowering behaviours and cultivate the courage to achieve their personal and professional goals, concluding with a live show performance event where participants breakthrough and perform on the Town Hall stage.

‘It is an incredibly moving and inspirational experience to watch participants transform over the two days and perform on the big stage,” she said.

“Many of these people would have never performed before. says Dr Caren.

A spokesperson for the programme said there is great camaraderie among the performers and indeed the audience.

“It gives us great courage to get up on that stage and just enjoy ourselves. I could never have imagined I would do such a thing before, but I am really looking forward to it’.

Tickets for the live show event are now on sale and can be purchased directly at the Town Hall Theatre or online via https://tht.ie/4153/born-to-rise-showcase
