Bank of Ireland has signed up as the official banking partner of Platform94, formerly known as the Galway Technology Centre. Platform94 is the centre of excellence for scaling businesses in the West of Ireland, and a place where businesses can access expertise and supports to help them grow effectively.
Since its launch in 1994, Platform94 has supported the development of over 300 indigenous companies, helping to create over 3,000 jobs in that time, and generating over €1.3 billion in value for the West of Ireland.
Bank of Ireland, in becoming Platform94’s Official Banking Partner for the next three years, will assist in the provision of banking services, advice and support to Platform94 and its members as they both start and continue their growth journeys. The Bank will also assist Platform94 in fulfilling its mandate to support the development of indigenous technology companies with global ambitions that are based in the Western Region Located in Mervue Business Park in Galway City, Platform94 recently completed a 17,000 sq. ft extension to their existing cutting-edge location, providing larger and improved facilities and support services to technology firms in the West of Ireland.
Announcing the Official Banking Partnership, Gerard Broderick, Bank of Ireland Senior Relationship Manager, Galway City said Platform94 has played a key role in the creation of thousands of local jobs since it was first established 30 years ago.
