The company is the brainchild of brothers Rónán and Ciarán Ganter and they hope that this service will be of great benefit to cyclists and walkers alike.
Having successfully built a chauffeur company operating throughout Ireland, the Ganter brothers have 12 years experience in tourism at the highest level. While working with the domestic and overseas markets, they identified an opportunity which will add huge value to the tourism industry as a whole. Thus the Bag Cab Ltd was born.
This new service will operate at a fraction of the cost of any other form of luggage transport and it also promotes environmentally healthy holidays and breaks, in your own time and at your own pace. Its two main aims are to offer a daily, low cost, efficient and professional luggage transfer service to cyclists, walkers and holidaymakers and to beat the current recession by providing a ‘no frills’ practical service.

How it works in simple terms - each day, two identical BagCab.com vehicles operate a clockwise and anticlockwise route throughout Connemara and Mayo including Galway, Westport and Clifden. Luggage can be collected and delivered in either direction along this route seven days a week. Just one item of luggage cost €5 and this includes picking up and delivering to any listed drop off location.
This volume-based service is unique in that it allows the independent traveller to plan his / her own holiday at a pace to suit him/her.
