Cookin’ up a storm on radio

A well known Connemara cookery expert and her nephew will present a special half hour edition of the cookery programme Blúirín Blasta on Sunday at 10.30 am on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.

Máirín Uí Chomáin and her nephew Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire promise to cook up a storm in this the final programme in the series which has been running all year. Máirín, who now lives in Oranmore, is a well-known contributor on culinary matters in the Irish media and first became familiar to Irish audiences on the television programmes Cuisine le Máirín and Encore Cuisine le Máirín which she presented on RTÉ.

Her nephew Máirtín is from Dublin and works as a lecturer at the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology, DIT, Cathal Brugha Street. He has more than 15 years experience as a chef at the highest levels both in Ireland and internationally and has won numerous awards. He also featured in his own cookery programme on TG4 over the last 2 years, Aingeal sa Chistin.
