Galway Premier for Steely Dan tribute band Aja at Monroe’s Live

For the first time in Galway, Dublin-based band Aja will recreate the legendary music of Steely Dan at Monroe’s Live on Friday, January 5 at 9pm.

This eight-piece musical powerhouse captures the iconic jazz, rock and pop discography of the band that sold over 40 million records worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

For over 13 years, Aja have brought to life the intricate arrangements, lush harmonies, and impeccable musicianship that define Steely Dan's distinctive style.

Named after the critically acclaimed 1977 album, this tribute group pays homage to Donald Fagen and Walter Becker with original guitar, brass, keyboard solos and vocal prowess.

Their live show is a celebration of the timeless appeal of Steely Dan’s music, journeying through the entire Aja album in the first half of the performance.

With a combined experience of over 40 years, these consummate musicians replicate their intricate jazz fusion and smooth melodic range, with a true commitment to authenticity.
