Lough Rea Hotel and Spa has just launched its new menu and it is filled with some delicious traditional selections with a modern contemporary twist. The two new menus have been developed by the recently appointed Executive Head Chef Narendra Sharma and the new chef in the Lir Bar, Pavel Merlin.

Chef Narendra brings a wealth of international experience and expertise having previously worked in some of the world’s most exclusive resorts including the Oberoi Group of Hotels & Resorts, the Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spa and the ‘Ananda in the Himalayas’.

Narendra also had the pleasure of looking after many of the world’s rich and famous such as Oprah Winfrey & King Charles III. Most of his work and recipes can be found in Vouge Magazine or Living Magazine.

His Irish journey began in 2016 when he joined The Landmark Hotel as an Executive Head Chef brining the hotel amazing food awards. He later continued his journey as Executive Head Chef to the Dalata Hotel Group & Lydon House Catering. Chef Pavel brings his knowledge from around the world, having worked in various restaurant in many different countries such as Norway, where he began as a Chef De Parties, later moving back to Lithuania where he was appointed Senior Sous Chef. to then exploring Moscow as a Head Chef.

This is the latest development at the hotel who were recently announced the Best Wedding Venue in Ireland by couples on the popular weddingdates.ie website. The wedding team at the hotel, led by General Manager, Damien McManus, have a reputation for delivering exceptional quality and service while ensuring that couples have the most amazing experience on their special day. The Shore Island Spa was recently awarded Best in Connaught Spa Award by the RSVP Magazine.

And it doesn’t end there. Lough Rea Hotel and Spa now has an extensive range of cocktails on the menu including an espresso martini, refreshing Mojitos as well as old favourites such as a strawberry daiquiri. It is also the perfect weekend choice for families and the ideal venue for new Mums to meet and talk. There is ample free parking, plenty of space for prams and all facilities are at ground level.
