Criminal damage

On Sunday December 10 between 4am and 5am, damage was caused to a property on Fr. Griffin Avenue in Galway. There were two flower pots smashed and there was extensive damage caused to the patio door of the property. Anyone who may have witnessed this or with any other information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Between 4.30pm on Sunday December 10 and 9.30am on Monday December 11, damage was caused to an 11G silver Toyota Yaris while it was parked up at Rivergrove in Oranmore. Anyone who may have witnessed this or with any other information is asked to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030.

On Wednesday December 5, it was reported to Gardaí that damage was caused when stone flower pots were smashed and hanging baskets were destroyed in Castlegar village. This is a community-kept area near the castle ruins in Castlegar Village. It is a well-travelled road and Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this or with any other information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Theft from MPV:

Between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday December 9, the Mercedes badge was stolen from the front of a 211G grey Mercedes Benz while it was parked near EZ Living in Terryland.

Burglaries in the city

On Sunday December 10, at approximately 2.30am a male broke into a house on the Long Walk in Galway City. This male was disturbed and fled the area. He was wearing a red jacket with a grey hood up. Anyone who may have witnessed this or with any other information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

On Friday, December 8, a house was broken into in Castlelambert in Athenry. This break-in happened between 6pm and 8.30pm. Entry was gained by forcing a front window in the house. Anyone who noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspicious in the area at the time is asked too contact Athenry Garda Station on 091-844016.

On Friday, December 8 between 5pm and 9pm a house was broken into in Gortatleva in Claregalway.

Entry was gained by forcing a rear window. Anyone who noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area at the time is asked to contact Loughgeorge Garda Station on 091-798122.

Between 7am on Thursday December 7 and 5pm on Saturday December 9, a house was broken into in Kiniska in Claregalway. Anyone who noticed any persons or vehicles acting suspicious in the area at the time is asked to contact Loughgeorge Garda Station on 091-798122 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666.

Between 7.30pm on Friday December 8 and Saturday December 9 a house was broken into in Pollnagroagh in Athenry.

There is a strong possibility that these burglaries are linked so any information however small, would be appreciated.
