The Galway Lawn Tennis Club, the only one of its kind in the county, is hosting an open day on Saturday (June 27 ) from 12 noon to 5pm.
Coaches and players will be available to introduce visitors to the club and give tennis, squash, and badminton a try.
Visitors to the open day will view a range of facilities that include nine tennis courts, six squash courts, seven badminton courts, and sauna/steam rooms. The club hosts tournaments for all grades and ages from eight to 80, starting at beginners’ level.
A number of classes are also organised - aerobics, chess, salsa dancing, indoor bowls, pool and table tennis, while golf outings, hill walking, and theatre and cinema trips are part of the club’s community spirit.
