Global tech leader partners with ePower in Ireland

Electric vehicle charger provider ePower has been appointed as an authorised value provider for EV charging solutions for ABB in Ireland, one of the world’s leading technological companies.

The agreement means ePower customers will have full access to the ABB product range, from 7KW home chargers to the Terra 360, which is one of the fastest chargers on the market, as well as high power fleet charging solutions.

It also means additional technical backup, support from a dedicated team of experts and continuous training.

Director of ePower Douglas Hall said the appointment is a prestigious achievement for the company which he co-founded in 2019.

“Our goal in ePower is to ensure that no EV driver is ever left without power, allowing our customers to hit the road fully charged," he said. "Becoming an ABB authorised value provider confirms that we have the full confidence of a massive multinational that recognises us as one of the leading Irish providers for EV charging solutions."

Keith Colton, ABB market development manager, e-mobility added: “We were looking for partners to extend our nationwide coverage. ePower's excellent reputation meant they very much fit in with the ethos of ABB’s Value Provider network.

"We’re now able to equip them with market-leading products and help them to deliver a first-class service to EV charging solutions customers.”

The ABB authorised value provider programme offers Irish end users access and support to ABB charging solutions together with a wide range of services, technical advice, training and bespoke contracts.

Although each ABB authorised value provider is an established and successful engineering company, all members of the network must undertake regular training to ensure its product, industry and technical knowledge is of the standard required to deliver accredited sales, support and service in close cooperation with ABB.
