The fifth-generation Toyota Prius is now available at Toyota dealerships nationwide. Priced from €45,900, the new Prius is available exclusively as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV ).
Toyota Ireland says that it expects demand for the new-generation model to be high. It features a sleek, sloping design, which Toyota says represents a stylish evolution from the original world-popular Prius which has sold over five million units to date.
Key features include a 12.3 inch Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system, a new 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and 19 inch alloy wheels.
According to the brand, the new Prius is capable of doing up to 71km in zero emissions mode after a single charge (subject to final homologation ).
The Prius PHEV joins the ranks of Toyota’s wide range of hybrid electrics, PHEVs (such as the RAV4 ), and BEVs (like the bZ4X ).
