Back with more — Old Galway Diary Volume II is launched this weekend

All classic productions have a sequel — and in Galway, the same rule applies with the launch of The Old Galway Diary Vol.II by Ronnie O’Gorman and Tom Kenny taking place at Kennys Bookshop on Saturday, November 3 at 3pm. An event to which all are welcome.

The book is the second volume of The Old Galway Diary by the local historians, and will be launched via a live recording of the latest episode of their Old Galway Diary podcast at Kennys.

Tom Kenny and Ronnie O’Gorman have been writing stories about the history of their native Galway city on a weekly basis in the Galway Advertiser newspaper for over fifty years.

This book is a selection of those stories, and the selection republished in this volume hopefully invite the reader to engage with Galway’s past, to go back in time and to see the path which has led us to the Galway we all enjoy today.

As with the first Old Galway Diary book (which is now out of print! ), all profits from the sales of this book will be donated to The Galway Simon Community.

The booklaunch will take place at 3pm on Saturday, November 4th at Kennys Bookshop in Liosbán, and is free to attend. More information and a link to book a free ticket can be found via Eventbrite or kennys.ie

Copies of The Old Galway Diary Vol.II will be available to purchase at Kennys for €25, and are also available to order on kennys.ie
