Round four of the Galway Senior Football championship has confirmed the progress of most teams to the quarter-final and preliminary quarter-final stage, while also ensuring the destination of some to the relegation play-offs.
Maigh Cuilinn have guaranteed themselves the top spot in group one with a game to spare after defeating Naomh Anna on Sunday afternoon.
This result also condemns Leitir Mor to the relegation stages. They will be joined there by An Spideal after they were defeated by St James’ who recorded their third win of the campaign. St James’ are now guaranteed progression, along with Milltown, after they defeated a wasteful Annaghdown in Tuam Stadium on Saturday. The round five fixture between St James’ and Milltown will see which team goes through in second place, and which might have to play a preliminary quarter final.
