The full programme for Galway Comedy Festival has been announced. Join the crew in Róisín Dubh tonight, Thursday September 14, with special guests from the #GCF23 programme to celebrate the good news. Guests joining in on the night's festivities include...
Special guest comics Andrew Maxwell, Colin Geddis and other headliners will be hosted by compére Eddie Mullarkey to formally reveal the #GCF23 line-up.
ANDREW MAXWELL
Andrew Maxwell is loud, opinionated, and usually right. Remember his brilliant and sardonic: “It's not the ‘Irish border’, it's the British border in Ireland. The Irish border is the beach," during Brexit? Little wonder he won Celebrity Mastermind.
Maxwell is the winner of the Time Out Award for Best Live Comic, Chortle's Best Live Comedian and Channel 4's King Of Comedy. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, Have I Got News For You, QI, and Mock the Week.
A regular at previous Galway Comedy Festivals, the good news is: he’s back!
“If you can only see one stand-up act, see Maxwell” - The Mirror
COLIN GEDDIS
He’s a big beast in the thriving Belfast comedy scene - he sold out five nights at the city’s SSE Arena - and in recent years the rest of Ireland has been seeing why. Geddis began his career with online sketches for YouTube, with his infamous “Barry the Blender Henderson” character earning over 15,000,000 views.
Geddis is also host of the General Banter Podcast, the success of which has led to several large, live podcast performances in premier venues including Belfast’s legendary Telegraph Building.
"Arguably the best comedian on the island" - BBC Radio Ulster
The evening’s host is Dublin Craic Den’s inimitable Eddie Mullarkey.
