Since its debut performance in early 2022, How to Get the Menopause and Enjoy It has become a runaway success – with 100 shows nationwide, entertaining more than 10,000 comedy fans, making it one of the most successful independent shows of recent years.
The audience response has been phenomenal, with many people returning several times. Now, an autumn tour will see the show visit the Town Hall Theatre on September 1.

Anne Gildea is best known as a founder member of the iconic musical comedy trio, The Nualas. She was one of, if not the, first Irish female stand-up comics, starting out in London in the late 1980s. She went on to feature in many Irish TV comedy programmes. As a writer, she has published several books, the last of which, about her treatment for breast cancer, inspired the feature film The Bright Side (Amazon Prime ).
