Fundraising concert for the RNLI next week

The Galway Choral Association will hold a special summer celebration concert in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Friday June 26 at 8pm in aid of the Galway RNLI.

The choir will be joined by the St Patrick’s Brass Band and the Baytones Male Voice Group. The choral conductor on the night will be Norman Duffy and the band conductor will be Michael Dooley. This will be the first occasion that the choir has performed with a brass band accompaniment.

The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around Britain and Ireland. It aims to save lives by changing attitudes and behaviour among people who use the sea regularly. The lifeboat station in Galway operates an inshore B class Atlantic 75 lifeboat along with a voluntary crew of 28 people.

Tickets are €15/10 and are available from OPUS II, St Augustine Street, on 091 - 500300, GCA members, and in a limited number on the door on the night. See www.galwaychoral.ie
