Supermacs to Supermacs — man’s Galway to Tuam run for teen cancer charity

20-year-old Calum Fox will this weekend take on the biggest challenge in his life so far — to run/walk a 35km from Galway to Tuam, Supermacs to Supermacs.

Starting his run in Supermacs in Galway beside Monaghan’s Garage at 7am and completing the run around 2 o’clock in Tuam plaza Supermacs, he is undertaking the challenge to raise money for a charity which is very close to my heart — CanTeen Ireland.

CanTeen Ireland is an organisation which helps kids and teenagers with cancer or who have recently beaten cancer help get back to normal life by doing rehabilitative and fun activities as well as socialising with other kids/teenagers who had the same experience.

“I have decided to complete this run on my 21st birthday which is Saturday August 19,” he told the Advertiser. I would love your support with this very important charity that has touched the lives of many families across Ireland and other countries, if I could get as many people as possible from Tuam, Galway, Mayo to donate to https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/Calumfox towards this fantastic organisation.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors for their help this Run, Supermacs, Petstop Discount, Café 22, Roots Café, Homeworld Furnature/Born Clothing, Elverys Sports, Woodland Motors, Costello’s Solicitors, Furniture Emporium, Dyna Signs, Tom Dempsey Flooring, Coleman Haulage, and Galway Advertiser. Finally, I would like to thank my family and friends for their support and Donations,” he said.
