Galway Ladies minor footballers take centre stage this weekend when they face Kildare in the ZuCar All Ireland Minor A final.

The ladies are the only Galway representative in an All-Ireland showdown this season. It takes place on Saturday in Pearse Park in Longford at 2pm, with the B and C deciders also taking place.

Galway will enter this match as favourites based on pedigree, against a county that is making its first final appearance. This is Galway's an 11th A final appearance with victories in 2018, 2014, 2013, 2010, 2005 and 2002, while Kildare were All-Ireland Minor B champions in 2018.

The Galway Minors have launched a fundraising drive to help them in their endeavours, having had little recovery time between games.

All monies received go towards the running costs of the Minor team's All Ireland quest. Donations can be made via the following link: https://gofund.me/a11afdf6
