An Taibhdhearc presents Grindr, Saghdar agus Cher, as part of the Galway International Arts Festival

Taking place in An Taibhdhearc from July 25 to July 29, Grindr, Saghdar agus Cher is a captivating show written and performed by Aerach Aiteach Gaelach members; Ciara Ní É, Eoin McEvoy and Sam Ó Fearraigh. The show revolves around the three LGBT cast members as they give three different perspectives on one fateful night. A nice lead up to Galway Pride Parade next month!

Ciara Ní É is a bilingual poet, performer, playwright and screenwriter. The founder of REIC, a monthly multilingual spoken word event and co-founder of LGBTQ+ arts collective AerachAiteachGaelach, she was also chosen as one of the Irish Examiner’s '100 Women Changing Ireland in 2022' and is an Irish Writers Centre ambassador.

Sam Ó Ferraraigh's poetry has been published in Poblachd nam Bárd, Green Carnations Glas na Gile, and ROPES. His short English radio play, Jack, was broadcast on Highland Radio in 2021. Sam is also a co-founder of the theater company ThereIsBear! Theater.

Eoin McEvoy is a poet, playwright, translator and spoken word artist who works through the medium of Irish across a wide range of media. Eoin was selected for the Poetry Ireland Introductions scheme 2021 and his poems have been published in Comhar, Feasta, The Stinging Fly, Cyphers and Nua Aois. He was among the winners in the REIC 2020 competition.
