House damaged in Doughiska

Gardaí are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage that occurred at An Sean Bhaile, Doughiska in the early hours of Thursday July 13.

The occupant of the house heard a noise at around 1.15am, and found the front sitting room window had been smashed. Gardaí in Oranmore are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information in relation to it. Assault in Eyre Square

Witnesses are being sought to an assault that occurred in Eyre Square on the afternoon of Wednesday July 12.

A man was assaulted by another man in the Square at 3.20pm. The victim sustained injuries to his face as a result of this assault.

Gardaí want to speak to anyone who was been in the area at this time. Witnesses are asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091 538000.

Burglaries in Gort

Gardaí in Gort are investigating break-ins to a number of business premises in Crowe Street, Bridge Street and Church Street in the early hours of Wednesday July 12.

The premises were burgled between 1am and 1.30am. The culprits smashed the front windows of these premises and stole the tills. Gort Gardaí want to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time and witnessed any suspicious activity. Burglary in Corrandulla

Gardaí in Loughgeorge are investigating a burglary, and an attempted burglary, that occurred in Corrandulla on the morning Friday July 14.

At approximately 10.30am, a house in Turloughgarve, Corrandulla was broken into and a number of items were stolen. At around 11.50am on the same day, a homeowner at Balrobuck Beg, Corrrandulla saw three men running away from his house after being disturbed.

Trailer stolen in Gort

Gardaí in Gort are investigating the theft of a trailer from Beagh, Gort in the early hours of Sunday July 16.

The trailer was stolen at some point between midnight and 4am. A large amount of copper pipe, which was on the trailer, was also taken.

The trailer is described as a 6x4 Ifor Williams single axle trailer with a distinctive badge on the tailgate which reads “G Daly Bodybuilders”. Theft from car in Tuam

A sum of money was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Lissadyra estate in Tuam last week.

This theft occurred between 12.45am and 12.50am on Friday July 14. Gardaí in Tuam are asking anyone who was in the area around this time and noticed any suspicious activity to contact Tuam Garda Station on 093 70840, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111.
