Finger food and fine tunes planned for Banshees official pub opening

Rebuilt original set from blockbuster film, Banshees of Inisherin, JJ Devine's Pub is set to officially open this Saturday, July 1 at 7pm, with music, entertainment and finger food aplenty.

Located in the village of Kilkerrin in north-east Galway, the original set was returned to its former glory by local publican, Luke Mee, and now stands out the back of Mee's Bar.

Featuring music by Mary Shannon, known for her work with bands 'The Bumblebees' and 'The Woodchoppers' as well as her work with her sister, Sharon Shannon and other cornerstones of Irish music. She has played across the world and has featured on multiple albums. Shannon will be joined by fiddle player Anna Falkenau, a player described as 'an ambassador for what is best in Irish traditional music' and has a stacked discography either as a solo player or with some of the best-known names in Irish music.

With a night stacked full of talent and the chance to visit a piece of film history, all are welcome to attend the opening this Saturday, July 1 from 7pm till late at Mee's Bar located in Kilkerrin village between Glenamaddy and Moylough.
