More than 600 cyclists head to Connemara for annual Croí cycle

The 29th annual Croí Corrib Charity Cycle, sponsored by Corrib Oil, takes place in Galway on Sunday.

Due to the unprecedented demand, with more than 600 cyclists registered, Croí is advising motorists and road users that there will be delays on the following cycle routes.

There are two new routes which will take in the breath-taking scenes of the Wild Atlantic Way, while incorporating the peace and tranquillity of Connemara.

The cycle starts at UG Dangan Sports Pavilion, Dangan Heights between at 8.15am and 8.30am, and finishes atCroí House, Moyola Lane, Newcastle, Galway, between 10am and 2pm.

The 107km route departs from UG Dangan Sports Pavilion, Dangan Heights, Galway via Moycullen, Spiddal, Rossaveal, Maam Cross, Oughterard, Moycullen, and finishes back in Croí House, Newcastle, Galway City. The 47km route departs from UG Dangan Sports Pavilion, Dangan Heights, Galway, via Moycullen, Oughterard, back through Moycullen, and finishes in Croí House, Newcastle, Galway City.More information is available https://croi.ie/event/croi-charity-cycle/
