The summer is well and truly here – and The Connacht Hotel is the place to be if you’re looking to soak up the rays and enjoy a relaxing time.
Passers-by of the hotel, which is owned by the Connacht Hospitality Group, will have noticed a fantastic new addition in recent weeks. The eye-catching, covered outdoor space is called The Aviary – and it’s an amazing upgrade to the hotel, for both casual visitors and guests alike.
Featuring a beautiful lawn-effect, large windows, and comfy seating, it’s a very appealing space.
The Aviary extends the style and elegance of the hotel’s Bar Solo, but there’s no mistaking that it oozes its own unique charm and individual ambience. Whether you’re looking to relax with a coffee and catch up on the morning news, enjoy a delicious chef-crafted lunch in the open air, or get together with a few pals to watch the big game, it’s the perfect spot.
One of the standout features of The Aviary is its retractable roof, making it the only sunroof you really need. There has been a lot of fine weather recently, and this is the ideal place to make the most of the sunshine. Here, you can sit on sunlit days as the roof is opened up to let in some golden rays. Plus, the windows can be rolled back to really create a beautifully airy space that is wonderful for when you just want to enjoy the moment.
The Aviary is a great place to enjoy a few drinks, too. Offering an enclosed space that can be opened up when the weather calls for it, it’s a fantastic spot for sipping on a few drinks with your friends. Conveniently, The Aviary has its own bar which is ideal if you’re looking to savour a few beverages of your choice without leaving the comfort of the laid-back vibe.
Stepping into The Aviary, you really feel like you’re in a separate space that is distinct from the rest of the hotel while still being connected to it. Some of the drinks available to enjoy in The Aviary include a selection of Galway Hooker beers which are brewed just a short drive over the road in Oranmore.
There’s nothing quite like enjoying a delicious meal outdoors, and al fresco dining is a no-brainer at The Aviary. The menu here includes options such as Italian-inspired pizzas like the Isabella, the Caprino, and the Godfather. This means that you can take your favourite restaurant meals and savour them in the open air while bronzing yourself in the sunshine.
In many ways, The Aviary is whatever you want it to be – a secluded space to watch the world go by, somewhere to enjoy drinks and tasty cuisine with a light breeze on your neck, or as a place to keep up with the pulsating action of the big match.
We’ll let you make up your own mind – and now that it’s officially open, you can do exactly that. So, why not pay a visit to The Aviary soon and see what it holds for you?
