On Thursday next May 25 a free legal advisory evening on the importance of making a Will and the practical steps to take in order to make a Will, will be delivered by Helena McGrath, M.G. Ryan & Co. LLP Solicitors. The advisory evening will take place from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm in The Connacht Hotel, Dublin Road.
While making a Will can seem like a daunting task for many, it is important to leave one’s affairs in order. The free advisory evening will outline how making a Will gives a testator (the person making the Will ) peace of mind knowing that their assets will be distributed in accordance with their wishes. Helena will also cover the important understanding of the power of an attorney and appointing an attorney regarding a will. Attendees will also be made aware of the criteria for making a valid Will. The seminar will be followed by Q&A and light refreshments.
The advisory evening is being organised in association with Galway Hospice. Hospice services in our community have been hugely supported by legacies from members of the public for over thirty years.
While attendees will be encouraged to consider including Galway Hospice and/or other charities of their choice in their Will, there will be no obligation on anyone attending to commit to anything. Organisers look forward to welcoming all in attendance.
