Maree/Oranmore fc hosted its St Columba’s Credit Union Invitational Tournament last Sunday when thousands of young footballers from around the county turned out to show their silken skills.
The non competitive, fun-based Tturnament is targeted at boys and girls from U7 to U10 from 15 County Galway-based community clubs.
In total 1200 medals were given out by special guests which included Ronan Manning, Vince Borden, Alex Rutter and Franceley Lomboto of Galway Utd as well as local elected public representatives and the excellent Phil Grealish of St Columba’s Credit Union.
This tournament has now become the largest of its kind in the West of Ireland. Maree/Oranmore would like to thank all the volunteers in all the community-based clubs for their work all season long.
