Four Galway basketball players have been selected on the U20 women's squad to compete at the European Championships.
The four, Ellie Glavin, Emma Glavin, Hazel Finn and Kara McCleane, are all from University of Galway Mystics, which has the strongest representation on the team.
The squad of 23, under head coach Karl Kilbride, will compete during the international season, which culminates with the FIBA U20 Women's European Championships in Romania in July.
Ireland will compete in the B Division and has been drawn with Greece, hosts Romania and Georgia in their group, opening against Greece on July 28.
They will take on Croatia in a friendly series at the start of July, before playing warm-up games against Switzerland and Austria in Romania in the days leading up to the competition.
