Rally celebrating the diversity of Galway to take place this weekend

There will be a rally to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Saturday, March 25, organised by the newly formed Galway CARD (Communities Against Racism & Discrimination ) Network.

Galway CARD Network was launched just this week (March 20 ) and is already organising a celebration of the diversity of the city of the tribes with the rally, beginning in Eyre Square at 2pm on Saturday, March 25.

Featured will be a diverse range of speakers including people in direct provision, members of the LGBTQ+ community, Traveller Community, the Council of Trade Unions as well as several other groups.

The network is asking the Galway community to come out in their numbers and support the rally and express their solidarity with all the minority communities that make the diversity of the city while standing up the racism and hate that can and does divides Galway's communities.
