Crannóg, Galway’s international literary magazine, is launching its 58th issue upstairs at The Crane on Friday, March 31 between 6.30pm and 8pm. The launch will feature readings of poetry and fiction from a selection of contributors.
Crannóg, now in its 21st year of publishing of poetry and fiction by Irish and English-speaking writers, is published twice yearly in March and September, and usually features around 10 short stories, 35 poems, and plus an interview with an author on their writing life and habits.
Crannóg launch nights are always enjoyable and worth attending - not just for the readings, but also for the opportunity to meet with writers, and engage in great conversations.
Tony O’Dwyer will be MC for the evening, joined by his fellow editors Ger Burke and Jarlath Fahy. The fourth member of the editorial team, Sandra Bunting, is Canadian based.
The event will be recorded by Silent Cinema, so if you can’t make it, the readings will be available to watch later on Crannóg’s Youtube channel.
Crannóg is financially supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and by Galway City Council’s Arts Office. The magazine itself is only €8.
