RTE Folk Music Award nominee Padraig Jack will play his first 2023 Galway show at the Crane Bar tomorrow night, Friday March 24.
A bilingual singer songwriter from the Aran islands, Padraig was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2022 RTE Folk Music Awards. He also had a hit single last summer with a song about the islands he grew up on. Making Sand was number 1 in the Radio 1 Airplay for four weeks, gaining the admiration and attention of fans like Mike Scott of The Waterboys, Damien Dempsey (who Padraig has toured with ) and Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff.
Padraig is currently recording his second album with renowned producer John Reynolds and is planning to release new music soon. He will also be running his residency show on the Aran islands in Joe Watty's marquee this summer after a successful first season in last year.
