Sherry FitzGerald Lettings celebrate 15 years of business success

Sherry FitzGerald Galway established its lettings and property management business in 2008, to expand its service offering to clients. The company provides a comprehensive residential letting and letting management service.

Managed by Linda McCallion together with a team of four colleagues, the department has grown considerably over the past 15 years. The rental of residential property has become a complex business, particularly over the last 10 years with many changes in landlord and tenant legislation. Keeping up to date with the evolving legislative environment, market forces, and changes in rental rules is a challenging task.

Sherry FitzGerald Lettings service cover Galway city and extends to areas including Barna, Moycullen, and Oranmore. Letting service includes advertising properties, sourcing and screening tenants, checking references, arranging contracts, transferring utilities, and ensuring the property is handed to the tenant in excellent condition. In addition, the company offers a monthly management service which includes rent collection, property inspections, and ensuring maintenance works are carried out.

The experienced team monitor incoming rent, check references, update landlords, liaise on tenant issues, and ensure smooth running of a tenancy. It’s important that all correct paperwork and legal documents are in place for each tenancy.

Behind the Sherry FitzGerald team are a group of loyal maintenance technicians, gardeners, and cleaners who are always at hand to carry out thorough and prompt services. Linda McCallion and her team recognise the challenges faced by landlords in the private rental market. With the need to adhere to the requirements of Rent Pressure Zones, and keep up with a changing legislative environment coupled with yearly RTB registrations and security of tenure, being a landlord requires constant vigilance to ensure compliance with regulations.
