At 7pm on Saturday in Tuam Stadium Killererin will test the resolve of St Michael’s who put up a good showing against Caherlistrane in the first round. Killererin are not going well and they were well hammered by Milltown last weekend in the league.
Still, they are a proud bunch of players and they will not fancy being beaten by a team that played intermediate last year in what is practically their home patch.
Assuming that Padraig Joyce, Jonathan Keane, Michael Boyle, and Nicky Joyce are all in the right frame of mind, and Tom Hughes and Michael Keane can win the aerial battles with Tomas Fahy snatching up a few breaks I’d go for the Killererin lads to advance.
