Galway will face red hot championship favourites Kilkenny in the semi-final of the Leinster SHC. The game takes place in Tullamore on Saturday week.
It will be the first time the two sides will meet in the provincial championship, and Galway manager John McIntyre acknowledges the task ahead.
"Kilkenny have not been beaten in the championship for nearly four years, but hopefully we can play to our potential. It is a massive challenge for all associated with Galway hurling.”
Dublin, who defeated Antrim last Sunday, will take on Wexford in the other semi-final in Nowlan Park.
Unlike previous years, Galway will still be in the championship should they lose to the All-Ireland champions.
