Mayo County Council is advising the public of the following ongoing traffic disruption around the county:
Castlebar Municipal District:
N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project Traffic Management: ? Occasional traffic signals at Belcarra Road during working hours. ? N84 occasional traffic management during working hours. ? Traffic signals at Knockranny Roundabout. ? Traffic signals on the N59 at Westport Industrial Park.
• Traffic management is expected at Lower Charles Street as part of works for the Castlebar Urban Greenway Link.
Westport Belmullet Municipal District:
• Greenway public realm works are taking place on the R319 in Achill Sound. Works are ongoing near the Church. ? Traffic and pedestrian management is expected. Two-way traffic will be maintained, unless notified by the Contractor in advance.
Claremorris Swinford Municipal District:
• New bridge construction at the Meelickmore / Lisduff Junction on the N17 in Claremorris: ? 60KM/HR speed limit restriction in place on the N17, R320 and L5565 at approaches to Lisduff Junction. ? VMS boards in place on N17, both North and South bound and on the R320 - 60km/hr speed restriction and project works. ? Hard shoulder closure of the N17 North and South bound carriageways North of the Lisduff/R320 junction. ? The R320 is open to traffic leaving Claremorris heading north towards Knock and for traffic heading north into Claremorris from Galway.
Ballina Municipal District:
• Road pavement works and footpath rehabilitation works are taking place on the R314 in Killala. ? Temporary traffic management will be in operation. Please expect some delays and allow extra time for your journey.
