Have you gone WYLDE yet?

WYLDE is one of Galway’s most recognisable places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. It’s nearing its sixth month in operation. The customer reaction to the high-end café and delicatessen in the heart of Galway city has been incredibly positive since day one, and WYLDE is planning a big 2023.

The team behind the coffee house and delicatessen are excited to welcome new and familiar customers as well as highlighting their menu offerings in the coming weeks and months.

WYLDE is located just a short stroll from Eyre Square, and it is part of the wider Connacht Hospitality Group which operates The Connacht Hotel, Hyde Hotel, An Púcán, 1520 Bar and Residence Hotel, Galway Bay Golf Resort, and numerous other businesses. Wylde’s proximity to central Galway makes it ideal for sit-in or takeaway meals, and the menu is as diverse as one would expect from an artisanal Galway spot, with quirky healthy menu options like “namaste WYLDE”, chef Andy Lewis’s take of a traditional Buddha bowl.

“It has been a fantastic start for WYLDE, and we’re really excited about 2023. Galway is renowned for its vibrant food scene, trendy cafés, and warm welcomes – we provide all three here, and we do it with a fresh take that people have really responded to,” said Hyde and WYLDE general manager, Roisin McGee.

Sustainability is at the core of the WYLDE concept, with local produce, compostable packaging, a variety of meat-free options and ethically sourced coffee as well as its partnership with Too Good to Go to reduce food waste. So far, the team have saved 430 meals and tonnes of CO2. It all plays into the healthy focus which means that they offer quality, fresh options that are equally as convenient and tasty.

The acai bowls are made using granola and fresh fruit while The Deli at WYLDE offers delightful, expertly crafted gourmet sandwiches and delicious flatbreads, which are lunchtime favourites. Plus, The Dock is the dedicated on-site café that offers barista-crafted coffees made using Eighty9 coffee beans from JJ Darboven, and the pastries are provided by Sunstreet Foods.

WYLDE also showcases exceptional local produce, including artisanal offerings such as gourmet cuisine, sustainable wine, and thoughtful gifts. Local Irish producers such as Slieve Aughty Honey, Sheridan’s Cheesemongers, and Achill Island Sea Salt are just some of the names that can be found here.

No doubt, 2023 is the year of WYLDE – and they have lots of reasons for you to stop by for a look.
