The All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF ) has named Cancer Care West as the Connacht Charity of the year 2023. This major national honour is in recognition of the exceptional services that the charity has provided to cancer patients and their families on the West Coast of Ireland for more than 25 years.
Business All-Star Accreditation is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria. The Accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
Cancer Care West’s vision is that no one will go through a cancer experience alone, and everything they do, has this in mind. Their range of professional community-based practical and emotional support services are all provided free of charge and are available at their premises in Galway and Letterkenny or online through their range of remote access amenities.
The All-Ireland Business Foundation is immensely proud to recognise the vital work carried out by Cancer Care West and wish to acknowledge the expertise and dedication of their teams for the benefit of others.
Reacting to the announcement, Cancer Care West, Operations Manager, Annette Hassett said they are delighted and honoured to be chosen for this award.
