GRETB Employer Services – providing staff training to develop new skills

The GRETB Employer Services unit works in collaboration with employers in Galway and Roscommon to provide work-based learning opportunities to support employee development.

GRETB offers subsidised upskilling and reskilling options for staff, creating a straightforward way to help increase productivity and competitiveness in a fast-changing business sector. One of the main programmes on offer is Skills to Advance. This is a Government-funded initiative that provides upskilling and reskilling opportunities to employees in jobs undergoing change and to those currently employed in vulnerable sectors. Working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises, Skills to Advance helps employers identify skills needs and invest in their workforce by providing partial or fully funded education and training to staff.

Contact GRETB to find out what you are eligible for. Contact employer engagement officer Lorraine Thornton on 087 3371151, or email [email protected]. You can also visit https://gretb.ie/further-education-training/employer-services.

No matter where you are in your lifelong learning cycle, Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board will have a pathway of education for you.
