The soundtracks of the sultry, bold, and daring films of Quentin Tarantino will come to life at Monroe’s Live on Dominick Street with Pulp Friction on Friday, February 24. This is a complete theatrical performance as they recreate the legendary songs and classic moves on stage. From a dance off with Mia Wallis to a Kill Bill sword fight, Pulp Friction bring all the characters, the scenes and the songs that are known and loved around the world.
From soul, funk, blues and country to all out rock, Pulp Friction is the ultimate nod to the work of Tarantino and the music that shaped his cinematography. This energetic and edgy show is guaranteed to recreate the dark, satiric and eclectic grooves of the producer’s work, which have captured a multitude of fans worldwide.
Based in Cheshire, Pulp Friction have toured across the UK and now for the first time, they are coming to Ireland. The concept was created by drummer and manager Tom Pickford (aka Butch ) and his wife, who plays the lead character of Mia in the show.
“As a lifelong Tarantino fan,” says Tom, “it’s a no brainer that the legendary songs and scenes should be put on stage. The rest of the band members and performers have been in the industry for many years, playing every kind of show you can think of. From original bands, international touring support acts, to dancers and everything in between.
“This is our first tour of Ireland. We’ve heard crowds can be lively, which is exactly what is needed for a show so unique. We can’t wait to get over the water and highly recommend this for everyone. It’s not to be missed.”
Tickets to Pulp Friction at Monroe’s Live on Friday, February 24 cost €10 and are available from www.monroes.ie
