Tuam Road based garage and car dealership, Monaghan and Sons, has announced a fundraising campaign which will see a donation from the profit of all car sales and service invoices in its workshop to three local charities.

”We know that rising costs and inflation are huge concerns for everyone at the moment, and we here at Monaghans Galway feel there is no better time to give something back to three charities that do so much for the people in the West of Ireland and beyond,” said, Jason Kyne, Sales Manager of Monaghan’s Galway.

The three chosen charity partners were determined by a staff survey of some 30 staff members, with Galway Hospice, Cancer Care West and Pieta House ranked the highest.

Cancer Care West Representative, Orla Cunniffe, stated, “We are honoured to be selected as one of Monaghans chosen charities and we look forward to working with the team at Monaghans throughout the year on their fundraising initiatives. This partnership will give Cancer Care West a huge opportunity to raise awareness of the cancer support services that we provide to the Galway community free of charge.”

Speaking about the fundraising initiative, Kyne said, “We can only hope that the awareness and funds raised from this campaign can help people in need and offer comfort to those who need it most. We would like to be an inspiration to other businesses to consider partnering with local charities, to try and help to make a positive impact in their own communities.”
