Kinvara Community Radio honoured at Community Radio Ireland Awards

Christina Connolly and Seamus Gallagher co-producers and presenters of Kinvara Community Radio www.kinvarafm.com were recently presented with a Silver Award by Community Radio Ireland (CRAOL ) for their programme, “Kinvara Reporting”.

This is a fortnightly programme on Kinvara Community Radio which covers current affairs, politics and news both international, national, regional and local every second Saturday afternoon from 2 to 3 pm.

In the award the judges stated “Kinvara Reporting is a well-established programme with Christina and Seamus. Their programme on the grounds at the Cruinniú na mBad Festival 2022 really captures the atmosphere on the day.”

The Award was presented to Christina and Seamus at a Community Radio Ireland conference in the Connacht Hotel, Renmore Galway. This is the third year running that the Kinvara Community Station has won a CRAOL Award.

Christina Connolly and Seamus Gallagher are both experienced broadcasters with the station from the beginning. Christina lives in Kinvara Village, while Seamus lives in Kiltrogue, Claregalway.

Kinvara Community Radio is based in the village of Kinvara and was established six years ago. It broadcasts live on Kinvara FM 92.4 and streaming on www.kinvarafm.com every Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.
