Corinthians' recent impressive form continued in Strandhill with a 24-7 win over Sligo.
Corinthians started with confidence that has them candidates for automatic promotion when John Devine touched down to open the scoring after 15 minutes. The lineout again was the source of the second try on 25 minutes with a well worked maul allowing John Forde to ground in the corner for a 10-0 lead.
Sligo found a way back when outhalf Euan Browne joined a forward surge to touch down in the corner, his conversion narrowing the gap to 7-10 at half-time.
However Corinthians regained the initiative early in the second half when on a counterattack outhalf Logan Allen cut through a nervious defence to score under the posts.
Sligo worked hard to deny Corinthians a bonus point win, but this young Corinthian side, helped by an accurate Jack Noone line-out, provided man of the match John Devine with his second and Corinthians' fourth try.
