Buses will run every 15 minutes to and from town, for €1 per person each way. Children and pensioners travel for free, and all-day parking at the Racecourse is included in the bus fare.
Buses will run both ways between Galway Racecourse and Galway Coach Station, from 9:30am to 9:15pm Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the service will run every 15 minutes from 11:00am to 7:00pm, and every 30 minutes between 7.00pm and 9.15pm.

Speaking about the Christmas Park and Ride, Brendan Gallagher, Senior Executive Engineer with Galway City Council, said the Christmas Park and Ride aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Galway City in the run up to the busy Christmas period, giving those shopping, eating out, or visiting venues and events, a stress-free, reliable way to get to and from the city.
"This is the 15th year that Galway City Council will provide the service, and I’d encourage those travelling into Galway along the M6, N6, N17, N18 and Monivea Roads to take the easier alternative to bringing the car into the city centre this December.
"Thanks to Galway Coach Station, Galway Racecourse and Callinan Coaches for partnering with Galway City Council to deliver the service," he said.
This year, the Christmas Park and Ride will operate in conjunction with other sustainable transport promotions, with Irish Rail offering free car parking at Athenry, Oranmore, Craughwell, Ardrahan and Gort, including the current 20% off all fares and €6.00 Day Return fare from Oranmore to Galway.
