The Westside Christmas Market Committee is delighted to welcome back Westside Christmas Market and Family Day to its calendar of activities. The event takes place today Thursday Dec 8 and all are welcome to come along and join in the festivities.
The Christmas Market itself will take place in Westside Resource Centre with a range of crafts and goodies specially produced for the occasion. The market runs from 10:30 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon. All of those attending the market can avail of complimentary refreshments at our popup Community Café.
Throughout today, there will be a number of free activities taking place. There will be Festive Music at Westside Public Library(11:00am to 12:00pm ), Storytime for Little Ones at 1:30pm and a Children’s Craft Session at 3:00pm.
Proceedings at Westside Resource Centre will culminate with a session of traditional Irish music from 3:15 to 4:15pm and this will be concluded with the draw for our bumper Christmas Raffle. The finale of the whole day will take place at 4.30pm in Westside Library with a jazzy seasonal concert, just the tonic for a winter’s evening.
Westside Christmas Market and Family Day is supported by Westside Resource Centre, Westside Public Library, Galway City Partnership, Westside Craft Group, Westside Community Organic Garden, Westside Patchwork Group and Westside Men’s Club. All proceeds from the Christmas Market support the running of the Westside Community Groups.
