WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY?

F: I remember moving from Monivea Road to Castlelawn in 1979, transporting our stuff in our blue VW Beatle, i was a young ladeen, Mam’s dresser fell off the trailer, it was left in smithereens! Larry O’Flaherty, Bridie’s husband, was out with the sweeping brush cleaning it up! Great people.

S: The first day In national school in the small chairs with my new schoolbag and my personalised pencil that my dad had prepared the night before .

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR 18 YEAR-OLD SELF?

F: Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

S: What’s for you won’t pass you, so enjoy the moment.

WHICH PERSON DO YOU MOST ADMIRE AND WHY?

F: I really admire Michael J Fox, hes helped to raise over one point five billion dollars for Parkinson’s research, unbelievable. My late mother May was a sufferer for many yrs.

S: My parents, as they gave us a great grounding in Life.

F: Organised, stubborn, diligent, roasted (I’m warm in January ).

S: Busy, inquisitive, real, musical

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HAPPIEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE?

F: Now! I dont wait around to be happy, I live for today, tomorrow is promised to no one.

S: Walking the beach on Gurteen Bay, Roundstone with only the sound of the water.

WHERE WAS YOUR MOST ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY?

F: Egypt, the history, the people, the food, the friends made for a lifetime.

S: Sydney Australia with my family to visit my brother.

A fabulous city and treasured memories.

WHO WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO BE STUCK IN A LIFT WITH?

F: Bruce Willis AKA John Die Hard McClane, he knows the way out.

S: A lift engineer.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FILM?

F: Goodfellas.

S: Shawshank Redemption

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU READ?

F: Michael J Fox, “No time like the future”, an amazing man, so brave, inspirational i would say.

S: I can’t remember, as I’m not a big reader.

WHAT ANNOYS YOU MOST?

F: Traffic in this beautiful city of ours.

S: Rude people

WHAT IS YOUR WORST HABIT?

F: Im constantly walking around the house turning off lights! Drives Elaine nuts ????

S: I’m impatient.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?

F: Well, they’re not “my possessions”, but I’d have to say my wife Elaine and my three wonderful boys, they are everything.

S: My health

HOW DO YOU RELAX OUTSIDE WORK?

F: I ride my wee motorbike, love the freedom of it in our traffic congested town.

S: Wine..Red preferably, and of course good food and company

WHO WOULD BE YOUR THREE IDEAL DINNER PARTY GUESTS?

F: Luciano Pavarotti, Muhammad Ali, and Tommie Tiernan, ya know, in case things got a bit heavy like.

S: My wife and three children. That would make four but we could pull in another chair..

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SAYING OR MOTTO?

F: Just take it one step at a time.

S: Get busy living
