The Energetic Rock of Rofi James to Ignite Audiences

The powerful and raw sense of frustration expressed in Rofi James; newest release, Animated, displays how far this duo, now trio, have developed as a band. Their dark rock/pop sound has ignited audiences at home and abroad and they are set to bring their latest work to Monroe’s Live on Thursday, December 22.

The homegrown talent of Aran Islands native, Rónán Ó Flaithearta alongside Jamie Murray and Joseph Flaherty has evolved significantly from their humble beginnings on Shop Street. Now, they have opened for the likes of Picture This, Wild Youth, Hermitage Green, The Riptide Movement, The Stunning and The Blizzards. Not only that, but they have delighted fans at Electric Picnic, Fever Pitch, OTB Music Festival and Riverfest.

From busking to delivering a string of well received originals, Rofi James are moving in the right direction. With a host of sold-out headline shows, this band are creating a new narrative for fresh Irish music. Their stomping gigs are renowned for their energy and rousing delivery. So much so, they’re garnering a legion of fans thanks to their formidable performance style and musical flair.

Together, Rofi James have channelled their edgy rock creativity into their recent music video to accompany the lyrically dynamic Animated. Here, they explore the challenges of confinement - unable to socialise or work – in a true reflection of their own life experience through song. It’s the latest in a collection of original compositions by the band who are making their mark with their honesty and drive.

To his end, the band are gaining regular airplay on Irish radio and are making waves on Spotify. Catch Rofi James live on stage for their Christmas Show, with support from Stolen City and Robbie Monaghan, on Thursday, December 22nd at Monroe’s Live.
