Indie folk band The Amazing Apples are back at Monroe’s Live this December

Fresh from the success of their ten-year celebratory reunion in October, the Amazing Apples are back to bring their popular indie-folk stylings to Monroe’s Live.

Having garnered a formidable reputation at home and abroad for their stomping live performances, the Amazing Apples are now firmly set up as a tour de force on the music scene.

This incredibly talented five-piece band of multi-instrumentalists have played alongside acts such as Mumford and Sons, Walking on Cars, The Coronas, Gavin James, Ryan Sheridan, Damien Dempsey, The Riptide Movement, Sharon Shannon, and Paddy Casey. Since they first set foot into Cuan studios in Spiddal in 2012, they have achieved national and international acclaim.

Having toured abroad in New York, Boston, Switzerland, Romania, and the UK, they’ve also played the festival circuits at Electric Picnic, Indiependence, Sea Sessions and the Westport Festival. Now, they are back on home turf with another rousing gig at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, December 17.

It’s set to be a night of tribal traditional sounds complete with the fast-paced call of the fiddles mirrored by the strum of the guitar and bass. Not only are their originals both dynamic and powerful, but their take on classic covers delivers a unique sound that is guaranteed to raise the roof at the Dominick Street venue.

Together, the line-up of Darragh Crehan (bass, mandolin, vocals ) Cian Crehan (guitar, vocals ) Brian Grace (drums, percussion, guitar ) Eamon Rabbitte (fiddle, banjo, vocals ) and Cathal Leonard (lead guitar, bass ) will ignite the stage. Since their inception, they’ve grown to become one of Galway’s most popular bands, thanks to their dedication and the sheer energetic force of their live shows.

Join the Amazing Apples on Saturday, December 17 from 10pm at Monroe’s Live. Tickets cost €10 and are available from www.monroes.ie
