New Cupra Leon range boosts engine options.

Cupra is boosting its Leon line-up by broadening the range of available engines.

The Cupra Leon range, now starting from €33,615, will be available for the first time in a 1.5-litre TSI 150hp manual petrol engine and a 1.5-litre 150hp mHEV (mild hybrid ) DSG automatic petrol. Also available is a 1.4-litre TSI 204hp PHEV and a 2.0-litre TSI 245hp petrol engine.

The Spanish carmaker says its Cupra Leon VZ range offers an engine line up for customers looking for additional performance with a 1.4-litre TSI 245hp PHEV and a 2.0-litre TSI 300hp petrol.

It adds that the newest additions to the line up will be generously equipped as standard - highlights include 18-inch black and silver alloy wheels, a 10-inch infotainment system, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and three-zone climate control.

The new range is also complemented by two new optional extra packages - what the company describes as a high value Boost Pack from €1,345 and a slick exterior Design Pack from €1,105.

The Cupra Boost Pack adds 12? navigation system, heated front seats, black roof cloth, safety pack, rear view camera and park assist, which boasts savings of more than €1,000 for customers.

The Design Pack adds: 18? alloy wheels in sport black and copper, midnight black roof spoiler, and dark alu pedals.

Mark McGrath, head of product and planning at Cupra Ireland, says the company is always developing its vehicle line up to maximise the offering for its customers.
