New generation of Irish Indie-Folk with Orwells ’84 at Monroe’s Live

With such extensive musical inspiration, it is no wonder that the combination of Damien Mc Kenna (vocals, guitar and writer ), Seán Byrne (guitar, bouzouki, vocals ), Ella Englishby (cello, harmonium, vocals ), Roisin Ward Morrow (violin, vocals ), Pauric Mc Crum (drums ) and Peter Mc Coy (bass, vocals, piano ) are making waves on the indie scene.

Together, their energetic live show matches the exuberance of their recordings. Through their EP ‘Truth is the First Victim’ they explore the myriad of human existence with a maturity that has gained critical acclaim. With an aim to create music that is both expressive and enjoyable, Orwell’s ’84 are on track to deliver both with aplomb.

Catch this fierce and dynamic indie group on their upward trajectory on the Irish music scene at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, December 3 at 8pm. With support from Keith Plunkett. Tickets cost €10 from here
