Ability West mark 60 years with a Mass this weekend

Ability West Mark 60 years of dedicated service to children and adults with intellectual disability with a mass in Galway Cathedral this Sunday November 20 - 3pm.

From humble beginnings in 1962, Ability West was formed by a group of parents and friends wanting to support children with intellectual disability in a quest for health and well-being services and societal inclusion for all. Six decades later, Ability West supports over 600 children and adults across Galway City and County with an extensive range of tailored services and supports in 13 locations and 62 centres.

Ability West are dedicated to enabling people to realise and achieve their goals and ambitions. This is implemented across all levels of our team for whom we care for, whether children or adults in the community or in Ability West’s residential services.

Join Ability West at a celebratory mass in The Galway Cathedral on Sunday November 20 at 3pm, with refreshments afterwards in The Ardilaun Hotel. Celebrate with the people we support, their families and friends, past and present board members, staff, volunteers, branch members and communities in celebrating this amazing milestone.
