Bundee named new Brand Ambassador for Supermacs

Bundee Aki has been announced as the new Brand Ambassador for the Supermac’s Fresh Range of Irish Beef and Chicken. This is the brand’s third association with rugby legends having previously worked with John Muldoon and Sean O’Brien.

The promotion of the Fresh Range is a further commitment of the family group of restaurants to the Irish food sector. Bundee will initially be tackling the limited edition Festive 5oz in his first campaign with Supermac’s and the burger has become synonymous with start of the Christmas season.

“We are delighted to have Bundee Aki on board as Brand Ambassador for our Fresh Range of products,” Supermac’s MD, Pat McDonagh said. “Bundee is an icon of Irish rugby and has proven himself as a great competitor. He is a natural fit for this fresh range of products and the Supermac’s brand in general.

“All of our beef, chicken and pork is 100% Irish and we have been proudly supporting farm families, clubs and events in communities for over 40 years and you’d never know where Bundee might show up,” he said.

“Supermac’s has a unique position at the heart of each community we are located in. We are regularly the organisers and venues for fun runs, vintage rallies, charity fundraisers and numerous other community events throughout the country. We sponsor over 300 teams and over 50 charities nationwide, along with numerous community initiatives throughout Ireland.”

“I am delighted to come on board with Supermac’s,” Bundee Aki said. “They are a brand I have been a big fan of for years and I am really looking forward to working with Pat, Una and all the team. Ireland is now my home and as everyone knows, enjoying a Supermac’s is a true sign of being home, so can’t wait to get started! Hopefully, it now also means, I won’t have to swipe any more chicken tenders!”

Supermac’s is Ireland’s most successful indigenous quick service family restaurant group. With 116 restaurants throughout the country, the group employs over 4,500 people nationally and has helped to establish up to 60 self-employed franchisees in their own successful businesses.
